Our Process

From Vision to Finished Product

Every Skantex project follows a disciplined, sequential process. Each stage has clear inputs, outputs, and decision gates. Nothing moves forward until the current stage is resolved.

01

Product Strategy & Discovery

We start by understanding the problem and defining what the product must achieve. Requirements are documented, feasibility is assessed, and risks are identified early, before design resources are committed.

  • Stakeholder interviews and requirements gathering
  • Technical feasibility and risk assessment
  • Competitive landscape and product positioning review
  • Project scope, timeline, and milestone definition
02

Industrial & Product Design

The product concept takes physical and functional form. We explore form factors, user interactions, and aesthetic direction, always grounded in engineering constraints and manufacturing realities.

  • Concept sketching and design exploration
  • Ergonomic and user-interaction analysis
  • Design review against engineering and manufacturing constraints
  • Refined concept selection and approval
03

Hardware Engineering

Circuit design, PCB layout, and power system architecture are developed to meet the product specification. Component selection prioritizes availability, reliability, and lifecycle. Every design decision is documented.

  • Schematic design and simulation
  • PCB layout with signal and power integrity analysis
  • Component selection and bill of materials
  • Design review and engineering sign-off
04

Embedded Software & Firmware

Firmware is written for the specific hardware, implementing control logic, communication protocols, and device integration. Code is tested on real hardware, not just simulators.

  • Firmware architecture and module design
  • Driver and protocol implementation
  • Hardware-in-the-loop testing and debugging
  • Code review and documentation
05

Mechanical Engineering

Enclosures, mechanisms, and assemblies are designed in CAD with full attention to materials, tolerances, and the chosen manufacturing process. Thermal management and environmental sealing are addressed here.

  • 3D modeling and detailed part design
  • Tolerance stack-up and GD&T specification
  • Material selection and supplier coordination
  • Design-for-manufacture and design-for-assembly review
06

Prototyping & Validation

Functional prototypes are built and subjected to rigorous testing: electrical, thermal, mechanical, and environmental. We iterate based on evidence, not opinion. The product is not ready until it passes validation.

  • Prototype fabrication and assembly
  • Functional, environmental, and stress testing
  • Test result analysis and design iteration
  • Pre-production validation and approval gate
07

Manufacturing & Delivery

Flexible Execution

With a validated design in hand, we select the right production path and manage the transition from prototype to manufactured product. Quality is monitored from first article through ongoing production.

  • Manufacturing partner selection and qualification
  • Production documentation and build package release
  • First-article inspection and production ramp
  • Ongoing quality assurance and delivery coordination
